About Mattresses
Skyler mattresses are designed and certified to the strictest international standards. Every material used in our mattresses is rigorously tested to ensure your mattress is of the highest quality and 100% safe for you and your loved ones.
Safety & Flammability Standards
Our mattresses conform to the U.S. Federal Standard for Flammability of mattresses (16 CFR 1632 and 16 CFR 1633), which meets the requirements for local domestic use.
The foam layers of our mattresses are encased in a flame-resistant knitted sock which functions to dampen flames by causing a layer of char to form, preventing oxygen from feeding the fire and subsequently preventing the flames from reaching the foam and spreading.
CertiPUR-US®
Our polyurethane foams (gel memory foam, AirCell memory foam, high-density support foam etc) are CertiPUR-US® certified, which guarantees that they are made without any harmful chemicals including mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates, PBDE flame retardants, ozone depleters, and have extremely low impact on indoor air quality.
OEKO-TEX®
Our mattress covers and natural latex meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, meaning that it contains no harmful substances and is certified safe for use.
Our mattresses have successfully completed ASTM F1566 mattress durability testing, which confirms that they do not sag, dip or get damaged in any meaningful way after a simulated 10 years of use. This rigorous “Rollator” test involves rolling a 240 pound (109 kg) hexagonal weight over our mattress 100,000 times, and it did not show any signs of significant sinkage or wear.
All Skyler mattresses come with a 10-year limited warranty. Visit Warranty for more details.
All three Skyler mattress models are made with carefully selected combinations of premium foam materials with three different heights: Luxe (10" / 25 cm), Elite (8" / 20 cm) and Lite (6" / 15 cm). They are all designed to feel 'just right'; not too firm, not too soft, with strong spinal support and incredible comfort, and come standard with the option to adjust the mattress firmness between Medium-Firm and Firm.
With our modern foam-based mattress design, they may feel a little unfamiliar at first, but once your body adjusts and realigns to its natural posture you’ll be rewarded with truly better sleep. Our mattresses are designed to mould into your body contours perfectly while retaining a natural bounce like a spring mattress so you never feel trapped. The spring-free design ensures that your mattress stays silent while you move around the bed and by using memory foam, movement between you and your sleeping partner is isolated so you won’t feel their tosses and turns throughout the night, leaving your sleep undisturbed.
Visit Mattresses to compare our range of mattresses and choose the model that best fits your preferences.
Our mattresses are designed to support individual weights of up to 300lbs (136kg) and combined weight of up to 450lbs (204kg) for optimal performance and durability.
Independent durability testing confirms that our mattresses do not sag, dip or get damaged in any significant way after a simulated 10 years of use.
Yes! Our mattresses are dustmite resistant, antibacterial and hypoallergenic.
Yes, our mattresses are suitable for both children and adolescents. The layered foam design of our mattresses provide a supportive and responsive sleep surface that promotes proper spinal alignment for children growing up.
Our mattresses are also dustmite resistant, antibacterial and hypoallergenic, providing a safe and healthy sleep environment for children.
We feel it is very important for our customers to know exactly where our materials and products come from. Most big brand mattress companies manufacture their mattresses in Asia, and even if they are made in factories elsewhere, their components are likely sourced from Asia too.
Skyler only works with manufacturing partners that share our uncompromising demands for quality and possess internationally acclaimed certifications including CertiPUR-US® and OEKO-TEX®, with rigorous independent quality control to ensure you receive a mattress of exceptional quality without paying thousands extra.
Our primary manufacturing partner in China is one of the largest foam mattress producers in the world, supplying many of the largest retail brands in the world. They are one of few manufacturers globally to have been independently certified to meet the highest international quality standards for foam mattress manufacturing. The natural latex used in our mattresses is imported from Thailand, one of the largest premium natural latex producers in the world.

Yes, we can custom build your mattress to a specific length and width. Please get in touch with us at (852) 2877 8668, through our online live chat, or email contact@skyler.hk to discuss your requirements and we’re most happy to provide a price quotation.
Custom-sized orders will incur a lead time of around 6 to 9 weeks for final delivery, and once confirmed, your order cannot be cancelled or refunded. Our 100-night trial is unavailable for custom mattress orders, but it will still be covered under our 10-year warranty.
We use advanced vacuum compression technology to package and roll our mattresses to fit into a compact box for delivery. Once released from its packaging, the mattress will quickly expand and return to its original size.
The high-grade, responsive foams we use are designed to provide years of optimal performance which means we’re able to compress Skyler mattresses without impairing its core structure.
In fact, this process drastically reduces the risk of damage to the mattress while it is being delivered to you with added protection from the box packaging. As you open the mattress, it will quickly recover back to its correct shape and size, and any creases or wrinkles on the outer cover will disappear.
Set-Up & Care
Once you have received your mattress (which comes in a box), setting it up is quick and simple – just follow these four steps:
Step 1: Unbox your mattress on its side in your room.
Step 2: Cut open the outer plastic wrap using the Cutting Tool found in your welcome kit inside the box. Poke a hole, then slowly glide the blade across the plastic. (Be careful: don’t cut the mattress itself)
Step 3: Flatten out your mattress and tear open the inner plastic wrap with your hands.
Step 4: Your mattress is now ready to use! Allow 48-72 hours for it to reach its full shape and firmness. Sweet dreams!
Note: You’ll also find these instructions printed inside your mattress box.
Click here for a short video of how the mattress is set up.
Skyler mattresses can be used on any flat and stable surface.
We recommend either a flat platform, box springs or a slatted base frame with slats no more than three inches apart. The mattress can also be used on adjustable bed bases.
However, we do not recommend using your mattress directly on the floor, as this inhibits airflow and can lead to excessive moisture building up on the base of your mattress, and encourage the growth of mould.
Your Skyler mattress will quickly regain its original shape once it is unwrapped and you can sleep on it straight away.
However, it may take 3-5 days to fully come back to its correct size and firmness, and perform at its best.
Our mattresses are vacuum compressed for delivery and a newly unboxed mattress may take several days to fully expand to its correct shape and size as you sleep on it, and any creases or wrinkles on the outer cover will disappear. We guarantee that our mattresses are within the accepted dimensional tolerance of ±2cm on the quoted size.
If any corners or surfaces on the mattress still appear to be misshapen after using the mattress for a few days, you could gently tug and adjust the mattress cover at the corners and edges so they are aligned with the inner foam layers of the mattress. The cover fabric can get pulled tight as part of the vacuum packing process, and result in rounded corners or irregular-looking edges. This allows room for the foam to inflate and fill out.
Lastly, you may also exert additional pressure or directly lay on the uneven areas to allow the foam to expand more quickly.
All Skyler mattresses come with a firmness of Medium-Firm as standard, but can easily be adjusted for a firmer mattress feel:
1. Unzip and remove the mattress cover.
2. Flip the inner mattress core so the thicker and firmer Support Foam layer is on top of the mattress.
3. Place the inner mattress core back into the mattress cover. Make sure the smooth Coolmax® & Tencel® fabric faces up, and the anti-slip base is on bottom.
4. Put on bedsheets and enjoy the firmer mattress feel.
After you have unboxed and set up your mattress, it cannot be compressed to fit its original packaging and be packed back into the box (we’ll need some specialised heavy machinery to do that).
However, if you intend to move elsewhere at a later date, our mattresses can be bent, folded and tied up to move through tight spaces. The mattress structure will not be impacted if it is tied up for short periods of time (i.e. several weeks) as only foam materials are used in our mattresses.
Skyler mattresses are designed to be used one way up, so flipping is not required.
However, we advise that you rotate your mattress 180 degrees every 3-6 months to maximise performance and durability.
Our mattress features an outer cover that can be removed for easy cleaning, though it is not necessary to wash the cover regularly.
-
Mild spills or stains: Spot clean using detergent and warm water.
-
Major stains: Remove the mattress cover by unzipping it from the bottom, then machine wash at 40oC or below. Line-dry only. Do not dry-clean.
Caution: Do not tumble dry to protect the fabric from possible shrinkages or deformities. Do not bleach the fragile mattress cover, and never cut open or remove the flame-retardant knitted inner sock enclosing the foam in the mattress.
Yes! Additional mattress covers, whether for a replacement or a spare, are available for sale as a separate item. Contact us at contact@skyler.hk or (852) 2877 8668 for a price quote and instructions on how to process the order.

MATTRESS TOPPERS
About Mattress Toppers
Skyler mattress toppers are designed and certified to the strictest international standards. Every material used in our toppers is rigorously tested to ensure your topper is of the highest quality and 100% safe for you and your loved ones.
Safety & Flammability Standards
Our toppers conform to the U.S. Federal Standard for Flammability of mattresses (16 CFR 1632 and 16 CFR 1633), which meets the requirements for local domestic use.
The foam layers of our toppers are encased in a flame-resistant knitted sock which functions to dampen flames by causing a layer of char to form, preventing oxygen from feeding the fire and subsequently preventing the flames from reaching the foam and spreading.
CertiPUR-US®
Our polyurethane foams are CertiPUR-US® certified, which guarantees that they are made without any harmful chemicals including mercury, lead, heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates, PBDE flame retardants, ozone depleters, and have extremely low impact on indoor air quality.
OEKO-TEX®
Our topper covers meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, meaning that it contains no harmful substances and is certified safe for use.
Our toppers are designed to be used with your mattress to soften its firmness level and improve comfort, while providing additional spinal support, especially when used with mattresses that are showing signs of wear and tear.
The topper comes with a soft firmness level as standard, but can be adjusted for a slightly firmer, medium-soft feel by unzipping the topper cover and flipping the inner foam core.
However, the ultimate firmness of your bed also depends on the firmness of the mattress your topper is being used on. The firmer the mattress, the firmer your bed will be overall after using a topper on top of the mattress.
Our toppers are designed to add a softer, more comfortable and more supportive layer to your mattress, isolate movement for reduced partner disturbance, prolong the lifespan of your mattress, and improve a sagging mattress.
It's a cost effective option to instantly improve the comfort and support of your mattress without having to replace it entirely.
However, a topper may only be a short-term solution if you've been using your mattress for longer than it should last (typically seven years or more). In that case, you should consider replacing it with a new mattress to ensure you're getting good quality sleep.
We recommend using our topper on top of a mattress. Mattress toppers are typically used together with a mattress to instantly improve the level of comfort of your bed, provide additional spinal support, and prolong the lifespan of your mattress. Without the support base from a mattress underneath, a topper alone may not be able to sufficiently support your body weight.
However, you may consider using our topper as a makeshift mattress, temporary bed or comfort layer on top of another surface such as a sofa, air mattress or pull-out bed, although do keep in mind that our toppers are not designed to be used long-term for these purposes.
A "mattress pad" and "mattress topper" may sound familiar, but are two different bedding products.
A mattress topper is typically thicker than a mattress pad. With its thicker design, a mattress topper can adjust the firmness of your mattress, provide additional comfort and support, and help improve a sagging mattress.
A mattress pad is a thin padded layer that adds protection and light cushioning to your mattress, but will not significantly change its level of firmness.
Yes! Our toppers are dustmite resistant, antibacterial and hypoallergenic.

Set-Up & Care
Once you have received your topper (which comes in a box), setting it up is quick and simple – just follow these four steps:
Step 1: Unwrap your topper from its compressed packaging.
Step 2: Roll out the topper and align it on top of your mattress.

1. Unzip and remove the topper cover.
2. Flip the inner foam core so the softer, blue Gel Memory Foam layer is facing down.
3. Place the inner foam core back into the topper cover. Make sure the smooth Coolmax® & Tencel® fabric faces up, and the anti-slip base is on bottom.
